The Spirit of the Position:
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration of the Regional(s) payroll and benefit systems. The Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of benefit/payroll and related client service, including record-keeping and reporting. The position has a heavy focus on report development and production. Located in our corporate headquarters in Hartford, CT, this position offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as liaison between Home Office Total Compensation department and Regional HR, as well as payroll/benefits and management staff to assure accurate and timely delivery of payroll/benefits services in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Works closely with HRIS staff in identifying the need for system revisions, formulating system requests and recommendations, and analyzing post-implementation results of system changes
- State, Local and Federal taxes, including quarter and year-end reconciliations
- Gross to net calculation, audit and balancing
- Prepare and maintain related records and reports
- Document workflow and work procedures
- Provides time and attendance support to field managers and processes payroll with the online time keeping system
- Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities, and liaison with service providers
- Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity
- Prepare and maintain accurate records
- Document workflow and work procedures
- Supports payroll in training for Time & Attendance system
EDUCATION:
- Finance degree and/or equivalent experience required.
SKILLS:
- Strong Excel skills
- Intermediate MS Office
- Solid computer skills
- Familiar with ADP Vantage preferred
