What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Coordinator position at LBJ Express Infrastructure Group?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Hold monthly training sessions with their internal employees at all levels
· Update safety protocols, including new safety rules and guidelines
· Schedule emergency safety drills throughout the year
· Developing and updating training materials in line with the latest safety standards and regulations
· Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making adjustments as necessary
· Ensuring that all safety training records are maintained accurately and are up to date
· Collaborating with management to develop safety policies and procedures
· Providing support and guidance to employees on safety-related issues
· Train employees on fleet vehicle safety and heavy machinery
· Manage and improve Safety Learning Management Platform (KPA)
· Conduct safety inspections and audits.
· This position will be responsible for monitoring and delivering safety training including powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts and earth moving equipment.
Education and Certification Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years working in a training environment.
· An associate degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field. Years of experience can be substituted for education requirement.
· Certifications such as Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Certified Safety and Health Official (CHSO) are highly desirable
· Proven experience in a safety-related training role
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Ability to develop and manage safety training programs
· Knowledge of applicable safety laws, regulations, and standards
· Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
· Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in response to known deadlines and maintain a keen attention to detail
· Able to work effectively with minimum supervision and manage competing priorities; able to exercise sound judgment in making effective decisions
