Production Specialist

**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer/Estimator to join our team at LDI Industries, Inc. As a key member of our design and production team, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the money, materials, labor, and time required for company processes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with internal personnel and suppliers to define processes and costs of new opportunities. You will also be responsible for communicating directly with customers to confirm specifications and share quotes.

**Responsibilities:**
1. Analyze documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of assigned projects.
2. Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for products and services.
3. Create labor estimates for assigned projects.
4. Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with company vendors, contractors, and internal team members.
5. Review and prepare bid data for projects.
6. Present prepared estimates to leaders.

**Requirements:**
1. Bachelor's degree or proven job experience in a related role.
2. Must be knowledgeable in metal fabrication and weld processes.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical documents (such as blueprints).
4. Effective writing skills; ability to develop and write reports.
5. Possess and demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
6. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
7. Strong analytical and math skills to interpret and analyze numerical data effectively.
8. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
9. Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment.
10. Self-directed and able to prioritize responsibilities.
11. Proven self-starter with strong initiative and drive to achieve results autonomously.
12. Detail oriented with an appreciation for deadlines and time management.
13. Enthusiastic attitude with good listening skills.

**Salary Range:**
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
