Nurse Educator Team- Virtual- Patient Support Telephonic Care and Injection Training
Exciting opportunity for a RN Nurse Educator Leader with Amplity Health. Utilize your nursing degree and pharmaceutical Patient Support Nurse Educator management experience with a top organization. Principle Working Relationships/ Contacts
The Nurse Educator National Program Director will lead a team of remote virtual Nurse Educators. This team will provide disease-state and device education to assist patients/caregivers better manage their chronic condition and access appropriate resources associated with their prescribed medication. This team of Nurse Educators will be responsible for participating in one-on-one communications with patients/caregivers. The Nurse Educator team will interact with enrolled patients/caregivers by telephone, video platforms, email and SMS strictly following the guidelines of the program. This team of Nurse Educators will not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role, and do not interact directly with healthcare providers or offices.
The National Program Director will ensure the Amplity metrics, KPIs are met and will work closely with our client leadership to develop the team. The Nurse Educator Program Director will develop, implement, and subsequently monitor strategic plans for the team to deliver to our client contract specifications. The Program Director will ensure the Nurse Educators develop relationship with patients and caregivers to confirm seamless onboarding, initiation of therapy, self-injection instruction, and ongoing adherence support
The Program Director will work closely with Amplity HR, Compliance, IT, Talent Acquisition, and Medical Leadership.
Knowledge/Skills /Abilities
- Successfully lead the Nurse Educators to meet metrics and deliverables as the program dictates.
- Strong client engagement management
- Overall responsibility for the interviewing and hiring selection and oversight of the Nurse Educator team.
- Program budget and expense management
- Effectively plan and conduct virtual monitoring for the Nurse Educator team.
- Strong organizing/planning/disciplined, attention to details.
- Knowledge of biologic therapies, specialty pharmacy, and managed care processes
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Excellent judgment/ decision making skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork/collaboration.
- Knowledge of Multicultural Nursing, Social Determinants of Health, and Motivational Interviewing a plus
- Proficient with customer relationship management (CRM) systems for data entry and report generation
- Experienced in telephony systems for call monitoring and reporting
- Strong presentation skills for conducting professional business reviews
Required
- Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- Pharmaceutical nurse educator industry management preferred. Will consider a strong pharmaceutical nurse educator in similar roles who has participated in mentoring, support, coaching, interviewing experience ready for a national director level role
- Previous clinical patient nursing experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work multiple in US time zones as needed.
- Ability to travel for national training, client and Amplity meetings approximately 20%-30% of the time
- Computer and technical skills with meeting platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
Preferred
- Previous pharmaceutical Patient Services Nurse Educator management experience strongly preferred.
- Prior virtual/telephonic patient support experience
- Biologic therapy including managing nurse teams that have provided injection training with patients/caregiver highly preferred.
- Residence near a major airport in the Eastern or Central Time Zones
