Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction sales management, with the ability to analyze market trends, develop strategic plans, and foster relationships with clients. The position of Sales Manager is a critical position in our company. The Sales Manager works with all of our existing Sales Reps, Director of Operations, Division Superintendents, Service Manager, Project Managers, Technicians,, Administrative Support Team and reports directly to the VP of Sales.
This position carries a 100% commission-based compensation package.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities. Monitor competitor activity and industry developments to stay ahead in the market.
- Manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance.
- Maintain relationships with current customers seeking opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, while building relationships with new customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
- Ensure that you know how to utilize all pricing resources available to you in order to formulate competitive and profitable quotes.
- Maintain communication with managers and the office and complete duties with efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop competency in a reasonable amount of time (6-12 months of employment) to maximize profitability in all facets without repeating mistakes or consistently relying on others for interpretation.
Qualifications
- Position requires a High School Diploma.
- Sales experience in HVACR or General Construction required.
- Management of a team of sales representatives is preferred, but not required
- Experience in construction trades contracting, with experience in installation of HVAC and Refrigeration preferred
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage figures and financial records.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and industry-specific software.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
