What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable position at Ledgent Finance & Accounting?
Ledgent is partnering with a client in NW Portland in search of their next Accounts Payable Specialist! This person will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing reports and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices. This is a fully on-site role that will pay up to $26 an hour with benefits on day one!
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate the distribution and proper coding of invoices
- Review and code invoices within the accounting system using a structure workflow
- Act as a primary point of contact for AP-related inquiries and provide resolution for payment issues
- Collaborate with accounting and other departments to resolve discrepancies and respond to supplier inquiries
- Review and audit employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance
- Troubleshoot intercompany and third-party vendor aging issues
Qualifications:
- At least two years of relevant experience in AP
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, with a strong emphasis on pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude
