Ledgent Finance and Accounting is searching for a Manager of Financial Reporting in Newburyport, MA. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of financial reporting experience with public accounting background.
Position: Manager of Financial Reporting (Direct Hire)
Location: Newburyport, MA (On-Site)
Salary: $145,000-$150,000

Premise:
Responsible providing technical accounting support to senior leadership in addition to all internal and external reporting (including SEC).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial statements and supporting information.
- Provides technical accounting support to senior leadership
- Supports finance with the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Supports leadership with budgeting and forecasting
- Prepares SEC filings and supporting documentation (10K, 10Q's, Proxy, etc.).
- Designs and maintains all periodic financial reports within the internal reporting system.
- Drafts accounting policies and ensure that existing policies reflect current accounting guidance.
- Manages the equity accounting process (IE: Stock Options, etc.).
- Supports Revenue Accounting Manager to ensure proper timing of revenue recognition.
- Prepares and files other periodic external financial reports as necessary
- Supports quarter-end reviews and year-end audits performed by public accounting firm.
- Supports Controller with on-demand investigation to explain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial variances.
Manager of Financial Reporting Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 5 -8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Recent public accounting experience required (Big 4 firm with an audit background a plus)
- Current CPA license is strongly preferred.
- SEC reporting experience required.
- Experience researching and documenting complex technical accounting issues for both U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
- Epicor ERP systems experience, a plus.
