Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Record and maintain fixed assets schedules and ensure proper depreciation.
- Assist with year-end audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with the finance department to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Required Work Hours:
The Staff Accountant will work Monday through Friday, following a standard first-shift schedule.
