Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Level 2 professional to join our team in Portland, OR. This is a contract-to-hire position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment providing technical support across both Mac and Windows platforms. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in IT support, with expertise in Active Directory and a strong troubleshooting background.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical support for end users across Mac and Windows platforms, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Support Active Directory (AD) administration, including user account management, group policies, permissions, and security settings.
- Configure and deploy hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Support and maintain software installations and updates on both Mac and Windows systems.
- Perform system monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
- Respond to and resolve tickets in the IT helpdesk system, prioritizing based on urgency and business impact.
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
- Work collaboratively with other IT team members to ensure seamless support across the organization.
- Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on desktop and system support in both Mac and Windows environments.
- Strong experience with Active Directory (AD) for user management and group policy administration.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Experience with system imaging, patch management, and deployment tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of additional systems like Microsoft 365, VPNs, and security tools.
- Certification(s) such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is a plus.
- Experience in a contract-to-hire environment or prior contract roles.
