Revenue Cycle Specialist 1 - Remote
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and Sends Claim Files and Paper Claims to Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid
- Monitors and works Rejections from 277 files
- Monitors and works denials from 835 files
- Posts payments manually when required
- Processes QA and mail statements
- Monitors, reviews and works outstanding AR
- Answers provider, submitter, client questions regarding claims and claims related issues
- Performs Quality Assurance Audits
- Any other duties assigned and relevant to the RCM of the project
Required Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and analyze data
- Ability to execute tasks within a tight deadline
- Ability to properly execute tasks outlined in a process and escalate issues/problems in a timely manner
- Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to understand industry standards such as 837, 999, 277 and 835 files and rejection and denial management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Up to 5 Years Relevant Experience
- Coding Certificate a plus
