Revenue Cycle Specialist 1 - Remote

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors and Sends Claim Files and Paper Claims to Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid
  • Monitors and works Rejections from 277 files
  • Monitors and works denials from 835 files
  • Posts payments manually when required
  • Processes QA and mail statements
  • Monitors, reviews and works outstanding AR
  • Answers provider, submitter, client questions regarding claims and claims related issues
  • Performs Quality Assurance Audits
  • Any other duties assigned and relevant to the RCM of the project

Required Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and analyze data
  • Ability to execute tasks within a tight deadline
  • Ability to properly execute tasks outlined in a process and escalate issues/problems in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to understand industry standards such as 837, 999, 277 and 835 files and rejection and denial management

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Up to 5 Years Relevant Experience
  • Coding Certificate a plus
