What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant position at Ledgent?
- Project Accountant

- Temp to Hire -
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on project accounting or similar roles
- Experience working with project management teams or in a project-based environment
- Familiarity with project accounting practices and profit analysis, including tracking project costs (tracking and recording expenses, bills, etc)
- Experience with QBO is a must
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas and pivot tables, and analyze financial data
- Understand and able to read a profit and loss statement
- Attention to detail is a must - high level of accuracy in financial reporting and data entry and ability to identify discrepancies or issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers and team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Effective at prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Strong knowledge in double entry accounting and financial reporting (experienced with journal entries and debits and credits)
