What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Ledgent?
Duties -
- Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and reconcile general ledger, bank, and merchant accounts.
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage and process prepaid expenses and deferred rent accounts.
- Prepare monthly and annual accruals and adjustments as part of the accounting cycle.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP, including reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and the preparation of financial statements. Investigate and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of schedules required for annual audits and tax activities, working closely with the Finance team during the audit process.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and actively participate in team meetings.
- Non-Profit Accounting experience required
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct
- Hourly rate range $30/hr - $40/hr.
