What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lee County Facilities Director position at Lee County?
Lee County is looking for a Facilities Director to oversee the County buildings and grounds valued at more than $60 million. The Facilities Director is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, maintenance, repair, and safety of all County buildings and grounds, administration of department activities, policies, and budgets, and providing daily management and supervision of Facilities Maintenance Department personnel.
On a day-to-day basis, the Facilities Director will:
- Develop, recommend, and administer policies, procedures, and processes in support of the Facilities Maintenance Department, while continuing to drive process improvement.
- Develop and implement short/long range strategic plans for capital improvement and renovations expenditures.
- Develop, present for approval, and monitor fiscal compliance of the annual department operating budget.
- Manage all personnel, equipment, and supply resources to meet the needs of the department while staying within budgetary constraints.
- Direct the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of County facilities/properties.
- Oversee capital improvement and renovation projects; review project specifications; analyze design, county requirements and performance standards; ensure county goals are met by performing preliminary and final "punch lists" for construction projects.
- Supervise staff including hiring, training, evaluating performance, disciplinary action, and firing (when deemed necessary), as well as planning, assigning, and directing work of department employees.
- Prepare work schedules, establish work priorities, and set goals.
Background and security clearance is required for this position.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
