What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Scanning/Document Clerk position at Legacy Bank?
To scan and catalog all loan documents, enabling documents accessibility from the core system, and archiving of data. Assist loan operations with tracking of recorded documents to ensure perfection of collateral and the scanning of financial information for officer review of credit quality.
All employees are expected to actively promote Legacy Bank to existing and prospective customers in order to obtain and build the Bank’s customer base and thereby enhance Legacy Bank’s growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Scanning of all loan documentation as new loans and renewal are processed. Catalog and maintain database to ensure that there is not duplication of documents and ties loans to existing documentation scanned. Scans tax returns/financial statements and various other documents pertinent to CIFs or loan profiles.
- Responsible for closing paid real estate, commercial and consumer loan jackets for all locations.
- Assist credit department with solicitation of updated customer financial data. In addition to tracking and inputting/spreading data into the credit software system.
- Back up Pre-Audit. Responsible for document review of all new and renewed loans to ensure that the loans conform to established bank policies and procedures prior to loan closing.
- Other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to preparing and mailing loan coupons to customers and review and correct coding for payments received at the main branch to ensure proper posting of loan payments daily.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and all security policies and procedures.
