Position Overview (40Hrs. /Week):
Initially, the role requires five days on-site, with the potential for a hybrid schedule (one day working from home). Standard hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, responding to help request tickets, and configuring, assembling, and installing workstations and peripheral equipment. You will provide PC support for Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and other standard applications. Additionally, you will assist with user training programs and provide end-user support services on Saturdays from January through mid-April.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for IT support requests
- Provide end-user support
- Provide troubleshooting support for MFA and VPN issues
- Respond to and set up requests via ShareFile portal
- Manage PC equipment maintenance (laptops, printers, etc.), including upgrades and repairs, directly or through third-party vendors
- Maintain an organized and efficient IT workstation area
- Offer after-hours support as needed
- Create and maintain hardware asset inventory records
- Image PCs for deployment to ensure seamless setup
- Maintain printer toner inventory
- Set up OWL camera for video conferencing
- Provide client support services as directed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the System Administrators
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of two years of hands-on IT support experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows OS (10/11)
- Comprehensive knowledge of PCs and printing systems
- Basic understanding of networking environments and Active Directory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with CCH and QuickBooks
- Experience working in a professional work environment
Other Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and a customer- and team-oriented focus. They must be able to quickly learn new technologies and effectively multi-task. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves working with individuals at varying technical levels. Additionally, the candidate should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
Provides support services to Northwest Indiana office, and may be required to visit MN office
