Overview
Legacy Security Services/GMS is currently recruiting for an IT Operations Technician (IOT) in Greenville, SC. IOT individuals possess a passion for providing quality customer service and effective communication while providing technical assistance for computer systems, software, and hardware. Requests for technical assistance and support may come in various forms with the primary form being email and phone. Responses and assistance to dealers/customers may be provided in person, over the phone, or via e-mail using IT ticketing system. Complex queries and those requiring specialized knowledge and skills will be referred to the appropriate specialized individuals.
Responsibilities
-Provide technical support to company’s dealers and their technicians,
including alarm programming, cellular device programming,
troubleshooting signal issues related to receiver formats or server
programming.
-Research and implement new products and equipment related to central
station monitoring.
-Provide low level technical training to co-workers.
-Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot all alarm receivers utilized by the
company.
-Assist in service and maintenance of telephone switches and connectivity
between company offices.
-Assist in data conversions.
-Willingness to travel to remote company offices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Knowledge of networks including but limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,
Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and Wireless Networks.
-Proficient with Microsoft Excel and SQL.
-Good Knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles.
-Knowledge of central station receivers, automation systems, phone switches
as it relates to alarm transmission, network, and internet maintenance.
-Attention to detail and follow-through.
-Good technical writing, presentation, and documentation skills.
-Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high-quality environment.
Requirements
-High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
-3 or more years of related experience
-Valid Driver’s License

Salary : $18 - $25
