Description

Dos Bocas is seeking experienced candidate for position of General Manager. We are looking for an energetic and organized GM who is seeking a great opportunity. This location is featuring Mexican & Cajun menu in a fantastic two story location attached to the Hilton Garden Inn located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Summary: This position is responsible for managing the daily restaurant operations to achieve planned financial and human resource goals for the asset as well as operating within Company and brand standards. This includes maintaining the physical condition of the asset and protecting the owners assets.

Responsible for assisting in the management of the daily operations of the restaurant and provides professional leadership and direction to management personnel. Supervises dining area in an effort to provide the highest quality of service and guest satisfaction. Effectively schedules shifts and ensures that all staff members perform their job duties to the company standard and communicates and enforces HR policies and procedures consistently. Trains or monitors the training of staff members providing guidance and feedback to guarantee a positive and successful training experience. Identifies & interviews quality candidates as needed to exceed staffing pars. Completes any/all administrative tasks and duties consistent with HR. Participates in maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program. Ultimately provides safe working and customer environment with safe work behaviors and action plans.

Essential Functions:

  1. Mentors, coaches and disciplines subordinate managers.
  2. Actively participate in the hiring, training, supervision and discipline of all restaurant staff.
  3. Provides a clear career path for subordinate managers, evaluates and provides goals based on the path for each manager every six months.
  4. Completes the final interview for potential hourly candidates.
  5. Oversees all administrative tasks and duties consistent with Human Resources.
  6. Ensures that all staff complies with assigned shifts and attendance policies.
  7. Verifies that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portions servings correctly.
  8. Knowledge of all preparation methods, ingredients, portion size for all menu items offered.
  9. Sets excellent customer service by following guest service standards.
  10. Responsible for overall labor, liquor, food cost to budgetary and inventory requirements as well as sales performances.
  11. Participates in maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program.
  12. Manages and motivates all staffing levels throughout shift.
  13. Oversees overall labor and food cost to budgetary requirements.
  14. Perform up to company standards on all audits.
  15. Maintains and role models all company standards and principles.
  16. Understands and demonstrates completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
  17. Management team understands and executes our culture.
  18. Standards are met or exceeded consistently by all staff.
  19. Provides motivation and direction to team.
  20. Communicates effectively using active listening skills, clear and complete expressions, and persuasiveness; keeps information flowing to the appropriate parties vertically (down as well as up) and horizontally.
  21. Creates an environment in which others feel ownership for results and feel comfortable to take action to achieve desired results.
  22. Identifies and anticipates problems and acts to rectify them by employing analytical thinking and sound judgment.
  23. Resolves conflict among team members quickly and effectively and strives to create win-win situations.
  24. Works well with others at various levels; builds relationships and establishes positive interpersonal relations.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Strong quality and consistency orientation required
  • Computer proficiencies in Excel, Word, Outlook required
  • Ability to memorialize standards, best practices, recipes and SOPs
  • Able to lift 25-35 lbs on a regular basis
  • Able to stand, walk and climb stairs 90% of the shift
  • Analytical ability and proficiency in math; ability to calculate margins, monitor profitability, and manage inventory
  • Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors
  • Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures; effective time management and organization skills
  • Must be flexible to work evenings & weekends, as needed
