If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Recreation Assistant at Legacy Village of Castle Pines! You'll typically work 32-40 hours each week including at least one weekend day. The standard hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

YOUR ROLE AS A RECREATION ASSISTANT
As a Recreation Assistant, you get to create memorable experiences that enrich our residents' lives in many ways. From recreational and physical activities to social, cultural, and religious events - you do it all! You don't just organize events - you build genuine connections with our residents. Every day, you have the chance to share personal moments and create lasting memories. Together, you make sure their unique needs are met and come up with fresh ideas for engagement.
You serve independent living residents, assisted living residents, and patients of our memory care center. Your positive energy and enthusiasm help transform our community into a place where every resident feels valued and supported.
Other key duties may include:
- Plan, implement, and demonstrate crafts with creativity to the residents
- Be able to drive residents to outings with the company car or 13-passenger bus
- Assists in developing and producing monthly calendars, newsletters, and other administrative duties as needed
- Teach exercise classes to the residents
- Answer phones at the front desk during the concierges' lunches
- Maintain a clean workspace for activities
ARE YOU A GOOD FIT?
Here's what we need from you:
- 21 years or older
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid Training within a specific time frame of hire
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing with residents, families, and the general public
- Ability to make presentations to a variety of groups
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement a varied program of social recreation, cultural, and religious activities for a large population of seniors
- Serve snacks and drinks during our happy hour and special events
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
