Our client is a well-respected law firm in Owings Mills, MD. It is currently seeking an Associate Attorney licensed in Maryland to join its dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings.
- Prepare, review, and present legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct in-depth legal research to analyze case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to develop tailored legal strategies for clients.
- Draft and file court documents, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
- Manage case files, monitor court dockets, and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist in trial preparation, including deposition summaries, exhibit organization, and correspondence.
- Draft engagement letters, manage invoicing, and complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the Maryland State Bar (dual admission in DC is a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil and family litigation, including trial experience.
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
