What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Chef position at Legendary Events?
Legendary Events, Atlanta’s premier off-premises catering and event company, has an immediate opening for an Executive Pastry Chef with off premise catering experience.
The Executive Pastry Chef will work with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in running the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen which includes the preparation and production of all pastry and dessert items.
Requirements include: 3 to 5 years of bakery, patisserie, chocolateries, confiserie and glacier experience (combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities); a culinary or apprenticeship program is preferred. The Executive Pastry Chef should have extensive experience in wedding cake design, production and decoration.
1-2 years of off-premises catering or fine hotel pastry experience in a supervisory role is preferable. A successful candidate will be a creative leader with a passion for food and advanced knowledge of pastry trends, ingredients and techniques. Will be responsible for assisting with menu planning and development, sales assistance, vendor relationships and purchasing, staff training and scheduling, coordinating with other departments and food safety compliance.
