What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR position at Legends Bay Casino?
The Grill Supervisor will monitor the restaurant, ensuring swift, positive and friendly guest service.
Job Requirements:
- Oversee and supervise the food & beverage staff and the operation of food venues.
- Consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills and acts as a positive role model for all team members.
- Convey positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on the guest interaction.
- Immediately address service issues and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Direct the daily work activities of assigned personnel within the restaurant.
- Properly schedule and assign stations within the restaurant minding opportunities to proactively manage labor costs.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness.
- Coach, counsel, discipline and train the team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with special and routine projects as necessary.
- Advise customers on selection of food and beverage items.
- Ensure that food is prepared and served according to the desired portions and quality specifications.
- Ensure adherence to Board of Health standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of four years supervisory experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Strong leadership, communication and supervisory skills.
- Basic knowledge of all phases of restaurant management.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
