Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a thorough understanding of property management practices, and proficiency with property management software. This role requires a proactive approach to property maintenance, tenant relations, and compliance with Fair Housing regulations. In addition to Property Management, this role will include Human Resource duties to include: Onboarding, Background Checks, Compliance Standards, Exit Interviews, Certified Payrolls, Etc.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including tenant relations, leasing activities, and maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and local laws governing property management.
- Utilize Yardi and other software for administrative tasks such as tracking rent payments, managing leases, and maintaining tenant records.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of property maintenance issues using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition and identify necessary repairs or improvements.
- Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and tenant feedback for upper management review.
- Handle tenant inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Section 8 housing programs is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with tenants and vendors.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and relevant legal requirements.
- Proficient in administrative tasks including record keeping and report generation.
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple properties simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
