Position Summary:
The Trim Lead should be self-motivated, creative, resourceful, consistent, and ready to progressively take on more responsibility, working closely with the Processing & Trim Manager to ensure the entire team fulfills quotas efficiently and effectively. The right candidate for this role is a natural leader and team player, with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to change tasks in the moment based on unexpected circumstances.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Demonstrate the ability to reach daily performance requirements
- Ensure esthetic standard of material is maintained
- Weigh material and assist with all data input to internal company tracking systems
- Quantify finished product for daily/weekly production reports
- Support the Processing & Trim Manager by reporting potential issues
- i.e. too much sugar leaf removed, not enough fan leaves removed, signs of pests or
pathogens, moisture level, quality control concerns, etc.
- Always maintain a clean and organized workspace. Clean the cure room at the end of each day: sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tabletops.
- Maintain environmental controls.
- Notify management if safety, personnel, or other concerns arise
- Package finished product to be cured in pound increments when available
- Must shower and wear clean clothes to work so as to not track pests or other elements from clothing and shoes into the facility (willing to wear scrubs if needed)
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring:
- Current MED support or key badge required
- Must live in Colorado
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Colorado ID
- Demonstrates a high level of trim knowledge and technique
- General computer knowledge and skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift for long periods of time
- Must be able to use scissors and do a repetitive cutting motion for hours at a time
