Transportation Bookkeeper

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Transportation, performs a wide variety of accounting/clerical work involved in the maintenance of financial records of the Transportation Department; prepares all financial statements and reports; does the budgets for all departments within the Transportation Department. Administers the controlled substance and alcohol testing program and maintains all records for the program. Co-ordinates and maintains records of employee evaluations. Prepares salary schedules for Negotiations concerning transportation (transportation employees). Prepares Small Bus Grant applications and Requests for Final Apportionment. And does other related work as required.
