Summary Of Responsibilities
- Contributes toward the development and continuous improvement of equipment. Develop and execute the implementation of long and short term improvement plans.
- Utilizes appropriate failure analysis techniques to determine root causes of failures and initiates necessary corrective action to eliminate/reduce such failures.
- Develop understanding or existing PLC programs on all equipment. Program and implement PLC modifications as corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Will provide engineering expertise in the day-to-day support in troubleshooting and resolving problems (afterhours as required) with PLC’s with various supporting instrumentation and motor speed control devices.
- Will program, configure and tune both PLC’s and motor (AC and DC) drives in relation to manufacturing process control systems.
- Works closely with Project Engineering, ensures drawings are updated in keeping with equipment modifications, provides counsel for equipment redesign and performance.
- Coordinates requirements, standards, and procedures for the operations of the equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Candidates must have a strong interest in electrical circuitry, manufacturing processes, and software/hardware/machine interface.
- Ideal candidates will have two or more years of related experience in manufacturing.
- Experiences of broad electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC design, programming, installation and troubleshooting experience. Rockwell Contrologix or Siemens PLC Series 5/7 is a plus.
