What You'll Do
Principal Financial Group is seeking a dedicated Social Media Strategist to join our Global Branding team and lead our Social Selling strategy! This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work with brand and marketing strategists, as well as sales professionals to elevate individual social media presences and enhance the impact of the sales teams across the enterprise ensuring that they confidently represent our brand on LinkedIn.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$100800 - $150000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a social media sales engagement strategy that drives program adoption through insights and data. Responsible for delivering a plan to increase engagement and foster best practices, including developing and refining processes.
- Onboard sales professionals, motivating them to effectively use social media.
- Write, coordinate, and facilitate training material, including the development of a training plan. Provide ongoing user support.
- Partner with peer social media professionals to build a Social Media Center of Excellence within the company. Stay up to date on social best practices, platforms, and competitor efforts.
- Analyze data and results to track performance and optimize strategy and tool usage. Establish program KPIs and share with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with content creators to tell compelling stories about our company and our products and services and ensure a steady stream of compliant, innovative content.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure program and professionals remain compliant. Communicate and lead related program and platform changes.
- Establish partnerships across all Principal Sales Teams within the enterprise.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6 years of experience with a proven track record in social media strategy and execution within a sales environment.
- Strong strategic attitude with the ability to motivate and engage stakeholders including content creators, marketers, and sales professionals.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to analyze and leverage results to implement innovative solutions
- Familiarity with financial services and compliance regulations
- Experience representing brands on social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn
- Project management experience
