Position Summary:
The Recruiter/Employee Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in attracting top talent to LSF while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. This position is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies, sourcing and interviewing candidates, and coordinating employee engagement initiatives that enhance retention and workplace satisfaction.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, networking events, and referrals, to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Screen and interview candidates to assess their qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with company values.
- Coordinate interview processes with hiring managers and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and maintain accurate candidate records.
- Partner with marketing to enhance employer branding and recruitment advertising efforts.
Employee Engagement & Retention
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture.
- Organize company events, recognition programs, and team-building activities to enhance morale and collaboration.
- Serve as a resource for employees, promoting open communication and a sense of belonging within the company.
- Gather employee feedback through surveys and focus groups and collaborate with leadership to address areas for improvement.
- Assist in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and increased retention.
- Support internal communications efforts to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Coordinate field trades staff performance evaluations, ensuring timely completion and providing support to managers in the evaluation process.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in both recruitment and employee engagement.
- Monitor key metrics related to hiring effectiveness and employee satisfaction to continuously improve programs.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align engagement efforts with company goals and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies throughout the hiring and engagement processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in recruiting, employee engagement, or a related HR function.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment marketing tools.
- Knowledge of best practices in employee engagement and talent acquisition.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative recruitment and engagement strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires travel to various job sites throughout Central Pennsylvania. Candidates should feel comfortable entering and exiting active construction sites, navigating different terrains, and working in varying site conditions. Additionally, there may be occasions where work is conducted from a construction trailer.
