Job Summary
Leonardo DRS is seeking an Inventory Control leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of material management and inventory control along with strong leadership skills managing warehouse teams in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
" Manage, coach and inspire a team of material handlers driving operational excellence
" Lead all efforts of the daily cycle count program including cross functional coordination
" Collaborate with production planning to ensure production floor needs are always met
" Utilize inventory software and tools to lead the materials team in attaining key metrics
" Establish and implement new methods and best practices to support inventory control
" Optimize storage systems, picking methods, material movement and stock layouts
" Develop and maintain close working relationships with all departments and leadership
" Drive and contribute to the success of the department through full ownership
" Attention to detail in all duties while maintaining a high level of integrity
" Maintain a healthy and safe work environment through adherence to EHS policies

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience
- Strong leadership skills managing teams with 20 direct reports, the ability to motivate, resolve conflict, encourage teamwork, and manage employee performance
- Analytical, problem solving, project management and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills
- Self-starter, able to work with or lead cross-functional teams on special projects
- Time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes
- Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships across the organization
- Must possess a high degree of professionalism, adaptability and strong customer service skills including a high level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
- APICS CPIM certification is preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
