Description: As a Catering General Manager, you will oversee the development of long-range and annual business plans for our catering division. Your primary goal will be to drive revenue growth in various segments, with a strong focus on social and wedding events. You will exceed customer expectations by providing exceptional service, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Responsibilities:
• Develop target lists for outbound sales efforts
• Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business through sales efforts while maximizing catering and event sales to meet or exceed revenue goals
• Conduct site tours, host awareness events, and direct and coordinate sales managers and their sales
• Support business strategies aligned with Lessing's vision and values
• Develop menus, costing, and marketing functions as they relate to the sales department
• Follow up on all details of client events from planning to completion of the event
• Benchmark competition for catering best practices and pricing
• Maintain budgets, control costs, and find ways to increase Catering profits
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in catering management, preferably in high-volume properties
• Exemplary leadership and supervision skills
• Superior client relations skills
• Administrative abilities in budget administration
• Results-oriented and enthusiastic
• High standards in all areas and a passion for guest service
• Computer and Internet competency, including Excel, Word, and event software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
