Position Summary:
As the Director of Human Resources at Lexair Inc., you will play a crucial role in shaping and guiding all aspects of the HR function to support the organization’s strategic goals. You will lead HR initiatives, drive talent management strategies, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. This position demands a well-rounded understanding of HR principles, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both strategically and tactically to meet the organization's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy and Policy Development:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Manage end-to-end employee processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding.
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Conduct job analysis, create job descriptions, and lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent. Manage the recruitment process from job posting to final selection.
- Employee Orientation and Training:
- Coordinate and lead new hire orientation sessions, ensuring new employees are integrated smoothly into the organization. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skillsets.
- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:
- Provide HR guidance to managers and employees on issues such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns.
- Benefits and Compensation:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Provide support for benefit enrollment and address employee inquiries.
- Payroll Management:
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Compliance and Legal Knowledge:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, data protection regulations, and HR best practices. Regularly review HR policies to maintain legal and regulatory alignment.
- Performance Management and Succession Planning:
- Lead the performance review process and create systems for career development, promotions, and succession planning.
- Training and Development:
- Implement training programs aimed at improving individual and team performance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- HRIS and Data Management:
- Maintain HR records and manage HR software applications (HRIS). Ensure accurate data entry and reporting for audits and organizational planning.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and department managers to foster teamwork and support organizational initiatives. Lead the HR team by providing mentorship and leadership.
- Other: Other duties may be required as assigned by the Company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR leadership roles, with a solid understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation structures, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Affirmative Action Planning preferred.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel for recruitment events or training programs.
- The role involves sedentary work, sitting for extended periods, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
