We are looking for Staff Accountant to perform general ledger month-end closing, assist with AP and AR, and financial reporting for multiple entities. The Staff Accountant will reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and will ensure all journal entries are entered and reviewed to meet the month-end closing deadlines.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Primarily responsible for the month-end closing process; this includes maintaining the general ledger for multiple entities; preparation of monthly standard and non-standard journal entries
- Ensure month-end journal entries are reviewed and entered within a timely manner
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed within a timely manner
- Prepare variance analysis for balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Assist in the preparation of weekly cash flow forecast
- Provide backup for accounts receivable
- Reconcile cash weekly
- Respond to inquiries by researching and interpreting accounting data
- Provide audit support through the generation of timely, accurate schedules and documents
- Create and maintain adequate and appropriate procedural documentation of accounting processes
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines
- Other duties may be assigned.
