Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, with the goal of restoring them to their fullest physical ability.
- Follow state-specific laws governing occupational therapy in home care and work within the scope of the supervising OT.
- Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment, observing and recording their response to treatment and reporting changes in their condition to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician.
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team and instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in areas of therapy within your scope.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Current OTA licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
