LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Buyer for a direct hire opportunity with a client in Monroe, NC. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of materials essential to process, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities :
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
Process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align material needs with schedules.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and address supply chain disruptions.
Assess supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and contracts.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure invoice payments are processed efficiently.
Seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP / procurement software.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Work Environment :
Primarily office-based, requiring prolonged periods at a desk and computer.
Must be able to access all facility areas to assess purchasing needs.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed.
Occasional travel may be required.
Position Type / Pay : Direct Hire – $65K-$70K
Pay Details : $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
