Our client, a highly successful construction services company, is looking to hire a Project Accountant. Qualified candidates will have completed their Bachelor s degree in Accounting and have five or more years of project accounting experience, preferably out of a construction company. You will work closely with the Controller as well as Project Managers across multiple sites around the region. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that will give you excellent exposure across the organization and the potential for growth. This is an in-office role, full-time, offering a salary of $100,000 to $120,000 dependent on prior experience plus a solid benefits package.
Responsibilities for the Project Accountant job include:
Responsible for the accounting and reporting of multiple projects simultaneously
Track financials, report on variances, trends and produce percentage of completion reports
Work closely with project managers and clients on financial status
Liaise with vendors and sub-vendors for billing purposes (AIA)
Evaluate and improve procedures for efficiency
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Five or more years of construction accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel required
A year or more of public accounting experience is highly preferred
Experience with Sage software is highly preferred,
Self-motivated, driven personality
