LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable client in Bergen County, NJ , to find an experienced Payroll Specialist for a temp-to-perm or temporary role. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, possess a strong understanding of payroll processing, and be capable of ensuring timely and accurate payroll for employees. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team while further developing your payroll expertise in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process bi-weekly / monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal / state regulations.
- Calculate and process payroll deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments, etc.).
- Maintain payroll records, including employee earnings, tax filings, and deductions.
- Handle employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports in a timely manner (federal, state, and local taxes).
- Ensure compliance with all payroll laws and regulations, including FLSA, wage garnishments, and benefits deductions.
- Process and track paid time off (PTO), sick days, and other employee leave.
- Assist in year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and filing.
- Review and update payroll data as necessary, ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Support the audit process by providing required payroll documentation.
