LHH is looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our client growing company in Bellevue, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Job Summary :
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages to employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for [insert number] employees accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay or status.
Calculate and process deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
Prepare and submit payroll reports, including tax filings and year-end documents such as W-2s and 1099s.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data integration.
Audit payroll procedures to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Insert number] years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a [industry-specific] environment.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).

Compensation : $30-$35 / hour DOE
