- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve any discrepancies related to employee hours or pay.
- Prepare and submit payroll taxes and other required governmental filings.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll expenses and accounts payable.
- Conduct audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect payroll processing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting software; experience with Quickbooks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll management processes, tax regulations, and accounts payable functions.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and maintain discretion at all times.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
