Accounting Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accounting specialist for a growing client in Cincinnati OH. The primary duties of this role will be Accounts Payable but there will also be some Receivable duties as well. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant experience along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $24/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files and manage vendor communications.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to AP.
- Generate and send out invoices to customers.
- Apply payments to customer accounts
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities.
- Assist in resolving payment discrepancies and disputes.
- Prepare AR aging reports and assist in collections efforts.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business is preferred but not
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
