Accounts Payable Specialist
LHH is assisting with a search for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in Kansas City, MO. This position will be hybrid (only going on-site one a month) with pay starting at $24/hour and going up based on experience. Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience and MS Dynamics, Adobe PDF and SharePoint software experience. Read below for additional details!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
- Prepare weekly spreadsheet to facilitate review and selection of weekly payments
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Reconcile prepayment accounts
- Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Prepare bi-weekly spreadsheet to facilitate review of accounts receivable
- Reconcile accounts receivable credits and past dues
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Payable Department
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Advanced skillset with MS Dynamics, SharePoint and Adobe PDF software
- At least 2 years of accounts payable (or related corporate accounting & administration experience).
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and possess strong organizational skills.
- Proven experience with automated and electronic payment solutions for A/P.
- Proven experience managing a high volume of invoices and superior organization skills.
- Experience with Quantum or Salesforce software is a plus but not required.
