What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant - Temp to Hire position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client in the food manufacturing industry. Our client is in need of bringing on a Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant in on a contract to hire basis. The company is 100% onsite and located on the south side of the city. The person taking on this opportunity would be reporting to the Accounting Manager and handling the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounts payable
- Assist with processing invoices on a weekly basis
- New Vendor Management
- Cash Applications
- Update the ageing schedule and follow up on out standing customer balances
- Assist with some lite balance sheet reconciliation work and prepare monthly journal entries
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience desired
- 2-3 years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience is desired
- Prior experience with journal entry preparation is desired
- Prior experience working on Microsoft Dynamics - Navision is a plus and intermediate excel skills are desired
- Excellent communication skills are needed and the ability to work in a high volume environment is required
