What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager - Temp to Hire position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Services is working with a client that is in the Industrial Real Estate management/investment industry. Our client is located on the south side of the city and looking to bring on a senior accountant on a temp to perm basis. Our client is 100% onsite and is looking for an accounting professional that can grow with the organization. The senior accountant taking on this opportunity would be handling the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Handling bank reconciliations for multiple entities owned buy the organization along with balance sheet reconciliation responsibilities:
- Assisting with month end close duties (setting up monthly accruals, journal entry preparation, and assisting with financial statement preparation)
- Responsible for some treasury/banking relationship duties
- Responsible for assisting with preparing schedules related to tax filings
- Assisting with processing accounts payable invoices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in accounting or finance is desired
- 4 years of month end close experience is required
- Prior experience working in a high volume environment accounting department is desired
- Prior experience with using MRI or any other major ERP system is a plus, along with intermediate excel skills (pivot tables and v look ups)
- Self-motivated work ethic and excellent communication skills are required.
