Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist

Salary (Permanent): $49,000 annually

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a motivated and reliable Credit and Collections Specialist to join a client’s team in Parsippany, NJ. This is a temp-to-perm position with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role with a salary of $49,000 annually. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s credit and collections processes, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer accounts and assess credit risk to determine appropriate credit limits
• Manage the collection of outstanding invoices, ensuring timely and efficient payment
• Contact customers to follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
• Negotiate payment arrangements and terms with clients as needed
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status in the system
• Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure smooth credit processes
• Prepare and send out collection letters, account statements, and reminders
• Generate and review aging reports and provide updates to management
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and legal requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in credit and collections or a related financial role
• Strong understanding of credit policies, collections procedures, and dispute resolution
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
