What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at LHH?
LHH is looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our client's corporate accounting team. This role involves overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger and manage month-end close procedures.
- Utilize strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data in compliance with statutory/GAAP standards by establishing effective internal controls and documenting policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the creation of automated financial reports and metrics, ensure thorough and auditable account reconciliations, and support interim and year-end audit preparations, tax filings, statutory/GAAP research, and other assigned projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA certification is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP; experience in researching and documenting accounting positions is advantageous.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution is beneficial.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, and competent skills in Word and PowerPoint.
