Our client, a prominent company in the industry, is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Prepare journal entries, conduct account analyses, and reconcile accounts. Perform the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections. Provide insights to management by analyzing variances and trends.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits. Ensure compliance with guidelines. File tax returns in a timely manner.
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation schedules. Support inventory management through cycle count reviews and maintain new item entries.
- Maintain ERP system and adapt to system enhancements.
- Perform routine payroll pre-processing for a third-party payroll service. Coordinate and monitor timecard approvals. Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
- Perform A/P duties by entering invoices and preparing check runs. Perform A/R duties by preparing invoices, depositing payments, and following up on past due accounts.
- Conduct account analysis and record general ledger transactions. Manage miscellaneous projects to support overall fiscal health and management decisions.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience.
- Background in cost accounting is a plus but not required.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
