About the Role - Sr. Manager for Finance & Accounting
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Craft and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
- Spearhead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Offer strategic advice based on financial analysis and performance metrics.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Supervise the creation and presentation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Examine variances, trends, and key performance indicators to guide business decisions.
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate and timely, adhering to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Accounting Operations:
- Oversee general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Operational Management:
- Handle daily financial operations, including cash flow, capital expenditure, and cost control.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Work with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance financial systems.
Capital Management:
- Manage the allocation and use of capital resources to achieve operational and strategic goals.
- Assess and optimize the organization's capital structure, including debt, equity, and working capital management.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set investment priorities and evaluate capital expenditures for long-term growth.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and accountability.
- Manage performance, provide coaching, and support training initiatives.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place and followed across all financial processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any issues or recommendations.
- Monitor and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
Business Collaboration:
- Work with other departments to support strategic initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights to aid decision-making in areas such as pricing, investments, and cost management.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support mergers, acquisitions, or other business opportunities.
Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master's) or professional certifications (CPA, CFA) preferred.
- At least 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams and cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in financial software like SAP and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices in financial management.
- Experience in capital management, including evaluating investment priorities and optimizing capital structure.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and solve complex finance challenges.
- Highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
Salary : $155,000 - $165,000
