Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and performance metrics.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze variances, trends, and key performance indicators to inform business decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow, capital expenditure, and cost control.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve financial systems.
- Capital Management:
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of capital resources to meet operational and strategic objectives.
- Evaluate and optimize the organization's capital structure, including debt, equity, and working capital management.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to determine investment priorities and assess capital expenditures for long-term growth.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals. o Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and accountability.
- Manage performance, provide coaching, and support training initiatives.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure internal controls are robust and adhered to across all financial processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any issues or recommendations.
- Monitor and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Business Partnership:
- Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making in areas such as pricing, investments, and cost management.
- Engage in ad hoc financial analysis to support mergers, acquisitions, or other business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) or professional certifications (CPA, CFA) preferred.
- A minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams and cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in financial software like SAP and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices in financial management.
- Experience in capital management, including evaluating investment priorities and optimizing capital structure.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and solve complex finance challenges.
- Highest Level of integrity, confidentiality and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
