Position Summary
As a Residential Support Supervisor at Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc., you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of a group home for individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to residents while supervising and guiding a team of support staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Supervise and mentor residential support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and program standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents’ needs and progress, adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Coordinate and participate in team meetings to discuss residents’ care plans, progress, and any challenges.
- Monitor and maintain accurate documentation of residents’ records, incidents, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with community resources to enhance residents’ quality of life and access to services.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise among residents or staff members.
- Serve as a liaison between the group home, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure a safe and supportive living environment that promotes independence and dignity for residents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges.
- Supervisory experience in a healthcare or residential setting is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Knowledge of state regulations and best practices in the field of developmental disabilities and mental health.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer skills and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
