ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist students and CSER supervisors with a high level of customer service as it pertains to policy questions and procedures in the areas of CSER, CSER By Major, Service-Learning, and any new experiential education initiatives.
Utilize accurate and timely reports to assist students with their CSER graduation requirements.
Understand and utilize the Banner program to properly assist students with the CSER program.
Maintain the annual CSER Key Dates document and LU Serve Outlook calendar for accurate recording of important deadlines (e.g., Registrar’s Office) and upcoming initiatives.
Coordinate effective small- and large-scale email campaigns to students and CSER supervisors with four key objectives: (1) increase the percentage of students completing their CSER requirement on-time, (2) decrease the percentage of students who receive an “F” in CSER, (3) decrease the percentage of students who are two or more behind in CSER credits, and (4) decrease the percentage of graduating seniors who are behind in their CSER requirement.
Help coordinate all facets of experiential education tabling initiatives throughout the academic year.
Help coordinate all facets of the LU Serve Green Cord campaign; this includes both scholarships and selling green cords.
Aid the Director with training new and existing student workers for effective customer service and knowledge about CSER.
Support the Director in the maintenance and enhancements of experiential education initiatives; such as CSER, CSER By Major, Service-Learning, and any new initiatives.
Collect and collate information throughout the year, both personal stories and organizational data, that will help promote experiential education initiatives and demonstrate the impact these initiatives have on LU students, faculty, and CSER supervisors.
Assist in the planning, coordinating, and execution of all LU Serve initiatives as directed (e.g., Global Focus Week and Serve Lynchburg).
Remain abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services, and leading industry benchmarks.
Work effectively as a coordinator and team member of LU Serve, embracing and fostering the mission and events of OSD and Liberty University.
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience:
Four-year college degree or the equivalent preferred
2-3 years experience in professional training.=
Preferred Experience:
3 years experience in a business or non-profit organization.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
