This position will serve as the Display Day Program Assistant, who will support the Junior Fellows Program Display Day event and perform related duties as assigned. This position is located in the Internship and Fellowship Programs (IFP) Section of the Talent Recruitment and Outreach (TRO) Division of the Human Capital Directorate (HCD) at the Library of Congress and reports to the Chief, TRO. The Display Day Program Assistant works with colleagues on the Junior Fellows Program management team in HCD / TRO, interns, Project Mentors, and others throughout the Library to plan and execute Display Day-the capstone event for Junior Fellows-taking place both onsite and remotely in mid-July 2025, likely July 16. c. Assist Display Day Program Manager in determining and tracking metrics and progress for Display Day 2025; and
d. Contribute to the development of a Display Day 2025 Report to summarize participation, lessons learned and recommendations for future Display Day events.
The Program Assistants will contribute to a presentation for Junior Fellows and Project Mentors to kick off the overall project and provide guidelines for the current year. After this initial presentation, the Program Assistants (along with the Display Day Program Manager) will schedule consultations with Junior Fellows and Project Mentors who will collaborate on selecting items, writing project descriptions, and creating Display Day presentation content, among other tasks. The Program Assistants and Display Day Manager will work together to support and guide Junior Fellows and Project Mentors throughout the duration of their internships and plan a successful Display Day, following established guidelines.
This position is eligible for telework. Candidates will be expected to report onsite two days per pay period.
