What is Your Role? The Wellness Services Manager is responsible for ensuring that the administration and organization of The Connection goes smoothly. The Manager creates an environment conducive for wellness throughout the department and the campus at large. This position evaluates program effectiveness and success based on revenue, participation, satisfaction and resident interest. The Wellness Services Manager oversees the Events & Programs Specialist(s). This position must be able to collaborate with other departments as well as community at large to provide wellness programming.
Essential Functions

- Provides oversight and direction to Wellness and Events and Programs team so that goals and objectives are met
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for the department
- Maintains complete knowledge of the basic operation of all areas of department, and when called upon, staffs department area when schedule dictates
- Leads group exercise classes
- Other duties, as requested by Supervisor

We are seeking:

- Associate Degree in a Health Related field required, Bachelor of Science in a health related or gerontology field, preferred, with coursework that minimally includes: Exercise Prescription, Exercise Physiology, Gerontology, Health Promotion/Education, and Wellness.
- Must have prior experience in exercise programming and working with the older adult population as it relates to wellness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Possess or have the ability to obtain, within the first 6 months of employment, the following certifications:
- CPR
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Ability to produce regular reports regarding business analytics.
- Personally reflect an image of wellness and live out the six dimensions of wellness.
- Must possess a familiarity with the relationship between exercise and other wellness programming and the older adult.
